IAU Travel Grants

The IAU wishes to support qualified scientists to whom only limited means of support are available, e.g., colleagues from economically less privileged countries and young scientists. An IAU grant should be the seed money in ensuring the participation of a selected beneficiary, including participants with young children, rather than adding comfort for colleagues whose attendance is already assured. - Rules and Guidelines for IAU Scientific Meetings

Everyone except invited speakers can apply, as long as they provide a contribution and justification (following IAU rules).

Application Deadline

The application deadline for an IAU Travel grant is October 31, 2022.

Update on Nov. 1, 2022: The application for IAU Travel Grants is now closed, please do not submit any further applications.

Update on Nov. 30, 2022: The SOC has submitted its proposal for the travel grants, applicants will be informed about (partial) awarded funds directly by the IAU. Rejections have already been send.
